Double Row Angular-Contact Ball Bearings

A double-row angular contact ball bearing is a type of bearing that combines the characteristics of angular contact ball bearings with a two-row design, allowing it to support both radial and axial loads in two directions. This bearing has two sets of balls, arranged at an angle, which provides a larger load-carrying capacity compared to single-row angular contact bearings. In a double-row angular contact bearing, the races are designed with two contact angles, usually positioned opposite each other. This configuration allows the bearing to handle higher axial loads and provides better stability, especially in applications with heavy or high-speed loads. These bearings are often used in applications that require high rigidity, such as machine tool spindles, automotive, and aerospace industries. They are particularly beneficial for applications that need to support axial loads in both directions while maintaining high precision and performance. Double-row angular contact bearings may also come with seals or shields to protect against contamination.
